When working on a complex building project, errors and miscommunications can seriously set a project back... if you're using competitor products, that is.
In the course of building the new Aramark corporate headquarters in the heart of Philadelphia, a CSMV-3 Command Station® system was mistakenly installed instead of the digital mixing station specified by the design engineer.
Only after the Command Station system was fully installed and operational did the mechanical contractor realize the error. They reached out to Acorn ConTrols® customers service, hoping against hope they would not need to commit to a full tear out and replacement (and absorb the cost associated with bringing the project back to the design spec).
Because he had been working within the Acorn ConTrols ecosystem, he received the best news possible: not only did he not need to tear out and replace the installed system, all that he needed to do was purchase a low-cost upgrade kit and commit about one hour of labor to make the conversion. Because he chose to work with Acorn ConTrols products, what could have been an extremely costly error had only a minimal impact. There were no tear-out costs, no new rough-in labor and material costs, no loss for scrapping the existing hardware and no new system cost—not to mention the labor cost of having to perform the changeout.
Obviously, the contractor, engineer, and Aramark were all very pleased that with the solution! This is only one example of the potential of the Acorn ConTrols Command Station system—sold at low cost, it can be upgraded to a BASyC system with digital regulation and monitoring at much lower cost than any alternative option. This is useful for building projects which might grow or take on new needs in the future, as it saves cost immediately and down the line when it's time to upgrade.
